Ulster University is partnering with MEGA to provide Northern Ireland’s first Degree Apprenticeship in Manufacturing & Engineering from September 2021.
This dynamic new offering is very relevant to society today. It is designed to help create a pipeline of skilled talent fit for industry’s needs.
In the years to come, through the Derry and Strabane City Deal, centres of excellence such as CIDRA and CARL will have a major role to play in providing employers with the skilled employees they require.
This four-year programme is aimed at people who wish to attain a level 6 Honours Degree with sought-after and employable skills for the engineering and manufacturing industry.
As a Degree Apprentice, students will apply their theory in real-time, making instant impact within their company while building an impressive CV, giving participants a great platform to build their career on.
Industry 4.0 skills such as robotics, artificial intelligence, and digitalization, will be amongst the key themes studied with the School of Computing, Engineering and Intelligent Systems at Ulster University’s Magee campus.
The Apprenticeship Degree programme is subject to funding approval by the Department for the Economy.
